My thoughts.

Never in my 50+ years in this country did I imagine our government running wild to the extent it has.

Yes, our government’s not perfect. It has never been perfect. But what I see going on now breaks my heart.

I try not to watch the news. Instead, I depend on the independent news sources I feel I can trust. However, I watch mainstream media now and then to learn what kind of crap the government is disseminating to the public. And it’s scary, folks.

Several years ago, I began preparing our family, thinking we would see a significant catastrophe. An EMP, catastrophic natural event, or perhaps invasion from China or North Korea. However, these are not the catastrophes I’m concerned with today.

The catastrophe I fear the most is from within our own borders.

I have watched our government slowly but surely manipulate the citizens of this country into believing they are entitled to anything and everything they want at no cost to them. And there are people like us who think we should work hard for everything we have.

I don’t expect anything from the government. I don’t want anything from the government. I want to work, care for my animals and garden and provide for myself. I want to be left alone.

Debt and cost continue to increase, and freedom continues to decrease. We are becoming slaves to the elite who have spent too many years in office. They want us to become puppets, and the truth is, half of the country already is.

As you know, the new division in our country began a long time ago, and I’m afraid it will only worsen. Can we ever be “ready” for that day when it all comes to a head?

During the Civil War, brother fought against brother. Father against son. We are now in a new civil war; only it isn’t being fought on a conventional battlefield. Instead, the politicians have used unconventional ways to get us to this place. They used Obama, Trump, police brutality, racism, genderism, abortion, and many other social justice premises to divide us.

How did we allow this to happen?

When did our Constitution cease to matter?

When did our independence go extinct?

Never forget the words in The Declaration of Independence.

 

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

Read it. Then read it again.
